B.U.R.N. Ministries: Mentoring Fort Worth’s At-Risk YouthSubmitted by WWK Wealth Advisors on August 26th, 2013
The youth in Fort Worth’s Como community need mentors. The lower economic neighborhood has the usual dynamics, fifty percent of households having one parent and roughly seventy percent of kids at risk of dropping out of school. B.U.R.N. Ministries is a local non-profit dedicated to building a better neighborhood by example. Their youth mentorship programs, Mighty Men and Women of Grace, needs your support or to become a mentor. Each program is designed to provide a path to success for at-risk youth by instilling leadership, faith and life skills.
A few weeks ago I had the pleasure of talking with B.U.R.N Ministries new Executive Director Huston Mgbemena. Huston is a energetic young man, dedicated to continuing the great work B.U.R.N. is doing.
There is something each of us can do to give others a hand up so we can make Fort Worth a great place to live for everyone. Here is Huston talking about how you can help.
